Dee Bradley Baker switches up his voice for Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Tech, and Echo, giving them distinct sounds that perfectly match their personality.
For instance, he codes a grumpy act for Echo, a breezy setup for Wrecker, and a coiled snakey voice for Crosshair.
Clone Force 99, dubbed “The Bad Batch,” consists of clone commandos with intentionally altered genetic traits granting them unique abilities beyond those of regular ones.
The Bad Batch consists of Hunter, the boss; Wrecker, the muscle guy; Crosshair, a top-notch sniper; Tech, the brainiac, and Echo, a regular clone who got turned into a cyborg.
It explores the fate of clone troopers after the rise of the Empire, as they were replaced by conscripted stormtroopers.
Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Echo make the ultimate Star Wars move so that Omega and the other child prisoners can escape to safety.
In the end, Hemlock’s attempt to recruit Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair fails thanks to the efforts of Echo, Omega, and their fellow clones.
They defeat Dr Royce Hemlock, the antagonist of the series, and find refuge on the planet Pabu.
Meanwhile, Emerie chooses to assist Echo in his mission to aid other clones, while Omega and the Bad Batch decide to stay on Pabu for safety.
There’s No Next Installment For The Bad Batch: Goodbye!
The final episode showcases Omega ultimately deciding to leave Pabu to join a rebellion against the Empire.
This suggests that there could be more adventures for her and the others in the next season.
Unfortunately, executive producers Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett revealed that they had always planned for “The Bad Batch” to conclude after three seasons.
Further, Corbett and Rau shared that wrapping up the story of Clone Force 99 after three seasons felt bittersweet.
They were grateful for the chance to end the series they believed it deserved.
