Martha becomes a regular at the pub, claiming to be a wealthy lawyer and entertaining Donny with stories.
She explains her law university’s whereabouts and says she owns a firm where she practices the law.
Donny wonders how Martha isn’t able to pay the bills of his free offerings when she claims to be a millionaire attorney.
She starts flirting with him, calling him “Baby Reindeer” and other nicknames. However, Martha’s behavior becomes unsettling as she sends Donny hundreds of emails daily, making him uncomfortable.
Reluctantly, Donny agrees to go for coffee with her, but he’s alarmed when Martha has a public outburst.
Later, Martha unexpectedly shows up at Donny’s comedy performance, where her interruptions help him advance to the semi-finals.
She confesses her love to Donny, but she has another outburst when he tries to let her down gently.
Despite learning that Martha is a convicted stalker, Donny still accepts her friend request on Facebook.
Moreover, he learns Martha was fired from the law firm and has been behind bars for spilling her anger on the company’s bosses when he searches if she is actually a lawyer.
Martha Is Put Behind The Bars For Her Bizzare And Illegal Act
Donny was shocked to discover Martha harassing his parents, leading to trouble at work.
When his attempt to catch her backfires, the police caution him, which leads to Teri breaking up with him.
The day before his comedy finals, Martha attacks him at the pub.
Although he desires to press charges, his coworkers convince him otherwise to keep the pub’s issues hidden.
During the competition, Donny couldn’t continue after a joke flopped. He confesses his guilt and struggles before leaving the stage.
Donny’s confession swirls viral, giving him a significant career boost.
However, his mistake of including his phone number in an out-of-office message allows Martha to contact him for the first time and threatens to expose his secrets to his parents.
Donny heads to Scotland to protect his family, shares everything with them, and finds comfort in their understanding.
Martha’s relentless calls plague Donny, prompting the police to advise him to listen to her voicemails and report any threats.
He reports her to the authorities, leading her to be handcuffed and subsequently sentenced to nine months and five years of probation.
Donny finally finds relief, knowing Martha can no longer harm his family.
